Snowy Angel's Tale

Hi I am Snowy/Angel from Danbury, CT. I was
adopted almost one year ago at Pet Smart
my Mom and Dad went to the Nascar races and
found me that weekend. I enjoyed camping that
weekend and then met my sister Ruby who is a
Munchkin. At first we didn’t hit it off well but now
we are best friends. We spend the night on Mom
and Dads bed and enjoy all the toys they
purchased for me and Ruby.

I just had my shots again and was Micro chipped
so now I know I will never get lost just in case I
sneak out. As you can see I have put on a few
pounds and just love the fancy feast Mom gives
me along with treats. Well, it is time to say good
night, time to head to my parents bed I just love
lying on Moms chest and cuddle all night.

This is one Happy Tale.

Precious Princess Tara's Tale

Amanda, (now known as precious princess Tara)
was rescued from the hoarder home in Marshalls
Creek by ACT. We fell in love with her affectionate
nature and adopted her at PetSmart. She is an indoor
cat but loves to monitor the birds and chipmunks
that visit our feeder from her cat perch. She still
behaves like a kitten, despite being two + years
old and is a constant source of entertainment
for our empty nest family.

At first, she didn’t know how to meow – she
would open her mouth but no sound would come out.
Now she has found her voice, especially at dinner
time! If it weren’t for ACT and the wonderful
volunteers who rescued and fostered her,
we wouldn’t have this beautiful addition to our family.

Adopt a rescue pet.
Love truly does heal all wounds.

Brandy, Maxine and Chloe's Tale

This is our very Happy Tale.

We adopted Dash, we renamed her Brandy
(she was 8 months old) April 2010. When I took
her home from PetSmart, I couldn't stop hugging
her. When I got her home, she got along with
everyone (7 other kitties) immediately. She has
so much energy. She flies up and down the cat
trees and the furniture. Nothing is too high for her.
My other kitties are older and do not have her
energy. We adopted Chloe June 2011. She is
2 years old. They became buddies right running
and playing together. Then I met Maxine in a
nursing home. That was a Thursday - I was sure
she would get adopted on the weekend because
she is so pretty. She is a long haired calico
with big green eyes.

I called PetSmart on Monday to check and they
said she was still there. I knew I had to take her
home. I got the adoption papers online and filled
them out and called Naomi. She said she would
meet me there Wednesday. Tuesday morning
before work I stopped in PetSmart to visit with
Maxine and the volunteers were there attending
to the cats. I told Denise that I was adopting
Maxine and she asked if I wanted to take her
today. I said "Yes”. She called Naomi...Naomi
came and it was done. Thank you Naomi for
taking the time to come right away. Maxine was
very fragile. When I got her home she was shy
and was hissing at everyone. Everyone ignored
it and gave her space. Within a couple of days
food and lots of hugs paid off. She buddied up
to Brandy first, then Chloe and soon it was as if
she has always lived with us. They are so cute...
Brandy, Chloe and Maxine run and play together
all the time. There is never a dull moment. We
love all our kitties so much. Thank you for letting
us adopt Brandy and Maxine. We are so blessed
to have so much love in our home.

The pictures are of the girls on vacation in the
Outer Banks, NC. They had a great time.
Thank you, Naomi, Denise and all who do
so much for the cats at Animals Can't Talk.

Thank you again
Adeline & Tom

Mischief's Tale

My boyfriend and I adopted twelve-year-old Mischief
three weeks ago. We were in town for the weekend
and went to Petsmart just to go out, as we don't have
one in our town. When we saw little Mischief, the both
of us fell in love with her. We weren't at all thinking
of adopting her, we already have a toddler, a black
lab and a calico at home.
We would stand at the window, walk away, then we
kept coming back to look at her. Then Jan told us
that she was twelve and shouldn't spend her golden
years in a cage. That was the clincher! It seemed
a little crazy to adopt a cat when we were 100 miles
from home, but we couldn't bear the thought of
leaving her, even though she was so well cared for.
She jumped in our carrier right away and purred the
entire way home! I was a bit nervous for my lab,
cat and toddler to meet her, especially since she's
the size of a kitten, but all three treated her well.
She was only slightly weary of the puppy at first,
but handled the three of them better than our other
pets did when the dog joined our family.
It took Mischief a few days to find her litter box and
to eat, but she was very cuddly and well behaved.
She now eats just about anything within her reach
and hasn't had any accidents since the first two
days she was here. Even though my first cat
disliked the dog before we got Mischief, the
three of them snuggle all the time now. Mischief
has been a huge source of happiness since
we brought her home. Every night she brings us
her toys, one by one, meowing until she's sure we
saw it, then goes and gets the next one.
Mischief was the perfect addition to our family
and we're very thankful for the opportunity to
give her a forever home.

Note from staff: Thank you for adopting an older cat!

Virginia's Tale

I just want to thank you for allowing Virginia to
come into our lives... After loosing "Joy" who was
18 years old when she passed, we never thought
we could love another cat...

But Virginia has filled all the voids and has made
herself a very welcomed addition to our household.
She loves her pets Josh and Sarah whom she will
awaken every morning by needing their backs with
her claws and purrs...until one wakes and feeds her.

She is a crazy when she plays and she plays
with everything from sun spots to her mouse which
she will retrieve and give back to you so you can
throw it again. and Again...

We named her Misty.
Here are some pictures of her.

Timmy's Tale

Here's a picture of Timmy who I adopted a week
ago. As you can see, he's very comfortable in his
new home. He makes me smile every day & is a
great fit to our family.

Adopt a shelter pet, it's the best feeling :)

Christine Giardina Diabo

(Note from staff: Timmy is an older cat...
Thank you so much Christine for adopting him!)

Sheldon's Tale

Just want to let you know "Flounder" - ( whom
we re-named "Sheldon") is doing great He has
made him self right at home, our Chiuhuaua &
older cat are doing amazing well with him also.

Thanks for helping us adopt a wonderful kitty,

Sincerely, Christine Deihl

Felix's Tale

Felix and Patrick seem to be making friends!!! : )
They love to lay in the bay window together. Got
his eye discharge medicine and he has a little virus
from stress/change in environment. Found out he
has a painful tooth which I'm taking him to my vet to
get it taken out, so he will be like new and able to
eat without pain and get nice and happy and plump!
Thanks for such a wonderful cat!! He definitely
found his forever home : )

Shinii's Tale Update:

These 2 were made for each other. They act like
they have known each other all their lives and loved
each other since day one. Sarcee is the big brother
to our little Shinii and watches over her at all times.
Shinii has started something new. I put a small cat
jingle ball in the bath tub along with a toilet paper
cardboard. She chases the ball around the tub
until it fall in the drain hole then she picks it up and
takes it to the futurist part of the tub and lets it go
so she can start again. She also puts the ball inside
the toilet paper roll and actually picks the roll up
and makes the ball fall out then the game starts
again. AJ and I do nothing but laugh at this shy
little girl who has become such a big part of our lives.
Shinii is also our resident bug chaser. I have
never seen a kitten jump so high or run so fast
to catch a moth or fly. She is relentless too. When
she catches them she puts them in her mouth
goops them up then spits them out and she's done.
I have to follow her with tissues to pick up the
remains and throw them out. I am waiting until
she grows all her fur back before I send any new
picture's of her. But her coat is full thick and very
shiny. She loves to be brushed too. She knows
her meal times and runs when she hears me open
a cat of Fancy Feasts. She eats from Sarcee's
bowl and then her bowl in that order ever
morning and evening. She also lays down and
rolls so I can pick her up and give her hugs and
kisses before each meal. I'd say she's doing very
well - she acts like she's always lived here - we
couldn't have asked for a better kitten then our
Shinii. Sarcee says so too. He loves his little
sister. She gets along very well with her puppy
brothers and sister too. Everyone gets along
so well - Our home and family are now complete
thanks to you and your rescue. More updates
to come. Kathy

Good Morning:
Shinii (formerly Z) has become a
complete member of our household. I
have a running water fountain for the kidz
and she now comes into the living room to
drink out of it instead of the plain old water
dish she has in the bedroom. She also
comes onto the couch while my husband
is watching TV and bugs him for hugs and
pets. She is such a snuggler and loves to
be picked up and hugged and kissed on the
top of her head. She'll even put her head
down so you can kiss it. My husband is not
into the kissy stuff but she tries anyway.
Sarcee and Shinii play all day and half
the night too HeHeHe.

I can't say enough about how
wonderful I feel adopting from your
rescue. Sarcee being my first find 2 years
ago and now Shinii. My husband and I
couldn't be happier that these 2 have
adopted us and our dogs and allowed us
to share their home with them. Thank you
for being such a great and trust worthy rescue.
I recommend you to everyone looking for a
cat or kitten as you take the pains to be
sure that whomever we receive as an
adoptee are completely healthy, happy
and spay or neutered. So many rescue's
allow the people who adopt to spay or
neuter in their own time and so many times
it never gets taken care of. This is another
worry off the adopters plate as they come
to you already fixed.

Thank you again and I will continue to
update you on their progress together
along with some more picture's. Kathy

Sarcee's Tail

A "tail" from Sarcee's loving family:
Our Sarcee (formally Einstein)
has brought nothing but
pleasure and laughter to
our household. He is
loved by his Sister Chepi Kittie
and Puppies ShaKa, Naaka and
Tristin. He is also loved by
his Bunnie Sister Clover. No he's not on the
menu - he got in the pot that my husband put
on the stove. He is always into something.
This is Naomi's favorite picture of him.

Thank you Naomi - We love him more
and more every day if that's possible.
